ABOUT US

Sunu Life Gambia is a class project developed by a passionate group of Journalism students who wanted to create something meaningful—something that reflects real life, real people, and real purpose. As part of our academic journey, we were challenged to work together and create a project that not only showcases creativity, but also speaks to the heart of our community.

We decided to build a lifestyle, heritage and tradition blog—a space where we can explore the unique experiences, struggles, and strengths of life in The Gambia. The name “Sunu Life” means Our Life in Wolof, and it represents our shared stories, challenges, culture, and growth as Gambians and Africans.

What We Do:

1) Share honest stories and reflections about daily life in The Gambia.

2) Promote Cultural awareness of the Gambia, in relatable ways.

3) Educate young Gambians on their culture and heritage.

4) Encourage culture and heritage preservation of the Gambian culture.

5) Foster community awareness, support, and impact.

This blog is more than an assignment—it’s a platform born from unity, creativity, and a desire to inspire change. Through Sunu Life, we hope to make a lasting impression, not just for our grades, but for our people.
